OPERATING SYSTEM INSTALL/REPAIR

OS stands for operating system, which is the underlying "mother program" that interfaces with your hardware, which in turn can host other programs allowing them to utilize the parts (memory, video cards, sound cards, drives, etc) without writing specifically for them. We can install any OS (Windows, MacOSX, Linux, etc) on any system you'd like and have the license for (Linux and Unix have a number of free distributions if you don't have one, though), but keep in mind there are certain limitations with some hardware--the old PowerPC Macs cannot be dual booted or even have Windows installed, for instance. Otherwise, we can do whatever you'd like and even provide options and alternatives you may not have even known existed before.

Windows and/or Mac Install/Repair

Running the latest operating system helps maximize performance and security, but we can install whichever version of Microsoft Windows or Apple MacOSX you prefer. Regardless of the OS, installation can take hours. Why not leave it to the experts? We’ll provide a complete, professional installation, along with reinstallation of drivers, software and updates. We can dual boot (run MacOSX and Windows on the same computer) any Intel-based Apple computer, as well.

We will...
I
nstall a version of Windows or Apple operating system on 1 computer.
Install all critical updates.
Install any drivers required.
Configure the system to your needs.
Test system to make sure everything is running properly.

TIME: Variable, depending on your preferred OS, but usually 1-3 hours.

PRICE: $100

Linux Distribution Install/Repair

Linux is perhaps one of the best and least utilized operating systems currently available. There are over 300 active distributions (software suites designed and built around the Linux kernal) that are constantly improving upon the stability, security and malleability provided by the Linux kernal. These distributions are community driven, so any member of the development group, which are often open to anyone interested in joining, can make a change to the source code and fix the problem. This open source development cycle is the reason Linux is free and precisely why it's emerging as an increasingly viable alternative to Microsoft Windows or Apple MacOSX.
